Über den Swiss Digital Summit

Die Schweizer Informatik Gesellschaft SI fördert die Informationstechnologie IT in der Schweiz in Forschung und Praxis. Mit knapp 2000 Mitgliedern vertritt sie als grösster Verband die Schweizer Informatik Professionals. Ca. 20 Fachgruppen beschäftigen sich aktiv mit speziellen Interessen mit IT Bezug, einschliesslich gesellschaftsrelevanter Themen wie Green IT und Ethik. Die SIRA ist als Vertretung aller Informatikprofessoren und Informatikdozenten an Schweizer Hochschulen Kollektivmitglied der SI. Mit den Social Enterprises ECDL-SI und 3LInformatik AG fördert die SI einerseits die Digitale Kompetenz in der Gesellschaft und andererseits die Professionalität der Branche.

In Form einer allen Interessierten offenstehenden jährlichen Veranstaltung vermittelt die SI neuestes Wissen über zukünftige und aktuelle Themen der Digitalen Welt, dieses Jahr unter dem Titel “Digital Summit” (ehemals “Technology Outlook”). Renommierte Referenten aus der internationalen Wissenschaftsszene berichten aus erster Hand in allgemein verständlicher Form über ihre Forschung in Quantencomputing, Neurocomputing, Künstlicher Intelligenz, Bildverarbeitung, innovativen Methoden der Programmierausbildung und Digitaler Ethik. Anlässlich einer Podiumsdiskussion werden Auswirkungen der Digitalen Transformation auf die Gesellschaft auf den Tisch gebracht.

About the Swiss Digital Summit

The Swiss Informatics association SI promotes information technology, “in Switzerland in research and in practice. With a membership of almost 2000 individuals and collectives the SI is the largest association for IT professionalism in Switzerland. Topics relevant to society such as Green IT and Ethics are actively dealt with in ca. 20 Special Interest Groups. The association of the Swiss professorate in Computer Science SIRA represents academia in SI as a collective member. Two social enterprises ECDL-SI and 3LInformatik AG aim at fostering IT literacy across Switzerland and at increasing the level of professionalism respectively.

Further on the agenda of SI is an formerly Technology Outlook with the goal of informing the public of trends and new achievements in IT from an academic point of view. Researchers from all over the world present their research in quantum information theory, neuro informatics, artificial intelligence, image processing innovative teaching of programming, and digital ethics all this in a language to be understood by everybody. In a panel discussion implications and effects of the digital transformation on the society will be brought on the table and discussed by experts.
